About the Artist
Merete de Kruyf is a German contemporary artist whose work explores states of transition, memory, identity, and psychological presence through layered figurative compositions. Combining historical imagery with personal photographic material, she creates tactile surfaces enriched by painterly interventions and delicate linear elements. Her restrained blue palette, subtle textures, and fragmented figures evoke spaces where meaning remains open and emotional resonance unfolds gradually.
